I am looking forward to…my birthday, even if we do nothing

Around the house…the front door is a lot friendly looking now that its no longer white

I am pondering…what it would be like to have a dog in the house

One of my favorite things…is watching multiple episodes in a row of a good show

A few plans for the rest of the week: clean up house a bit and make a trip to the bookstore

With my dad, here’s what we’ve accomplished in our first month.

  • Removed bird nest in bathroom fan vent
  • Repaired vent tubing
  • Applied bird gate around vent opening
  • Replaced light bulb in bathroom fan light (nightlight setting)
  • Painted hall and living room area (Silver Screen/Behr)
  • Spackled and painted office (Lion/Behr)
  • Spackled and painted second bedroom (Smokey Blue/Behr)
  • Painted bedroom (Blue Fox/Behr)
  • Tore up orange carpeting and hardware from closet
  • Replaced central air conditioning filter
  • Painted birdhouses (for now homeless birds, obviously)
  • Removed and replaced wooden side door with steel door and new locks
  • Painted and cleaned side outside light and replaced
  • Replace bulb for front outside light
  • Unpacked and put away boxes
  • Installed washer and dryer
  • Cut down tree
  • Trimmed hedges and trees
  • Cut and cleared brush and overgrown weeds from back yard
  • Removed 12+ balls of various shapes and sizes from back yard
  • Measured roof for shingles
  • Removed satellite dish
  • Mowed [first!] lawn

    A song that reminds me of fighting with a friend and the relief to have some distance for a while that made me feel better. Now we’ve made up, and I feel guilty that I ever related to this angry song and related it to that friend. That’s life I guess.
